Media Analyst
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ROLE SUMMARY:
- The Media Analyst is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting the performance of all content across digital and social platforms. This role turns data into insights that drive smarter content decisions, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness. You’ll collaborate closely with content, creative, and marketing communication manager to identify what’s working, what’s not, and what to do next.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor daily performance of content across platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) using analytics tools.
- Track core KPIs including views, reach, engagement, completion rate, watch time, follower growth, and sentiment.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and campaign-specific performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
Trend & Audience Insights:
- Analyze audience behavior, demographic patterns, and content consumption habits.
- Identify high-performing content formats, trends, and posting times for optimization.
- Surface platform-specific insights to inform creative and content teams.
Dashboard & Data Management:
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards (e.g., Google Data Studio, Looker, or similar tools).
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports.
- Organize, tag, and document content data for easy reference and historical tracking.
Campaign & Content Evaluation:
- Provide pre- and post-campaign analysis to evaluate content success and ROI.
- Work with paid media and performance teams to integrate organic and paid performance data.
- Recommend changes to formats, frequency, or strategy based on performance analytics.
Team Collaboration:
- Partner with Social Content Leads and Creative Teams to share actionable insights during content planning.
- Collaborate with Marketing Comms for PR impact tracking and sentiment analysis.
- Support leadership with custom analysis and executive reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, media performance, or content insights.
- Proficient in social media analytics tools (e.g., TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, Meta Insights).
- Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Data Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms a plus.
- Ability to interpret data and present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in entertainment, media, or digital content is a strong plus.
- Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and proactive.
