Merchandise Designer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Overview:
- Forest Studio is looking for a creative and trend-savvy Merchandise Designer who is passionate about entertainment and pop culture. You will be responsible for designing exclusive merchandise products for artists, programs, and projects developed by Forest Studio. This role requires both a strong aesthetic sense and the ability to translate brand concepts into practical, sellable products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a wide variety of merchandise products: T-shirts, tote bags, keychains, accessories, collectibles, etc.
- Collaborate with the Merchandise Developer to develop creative concepts and visual identities for each merchandise line.
- Turn ideas/briefs into concrete designs and print-ready production files.
- Work directly with production partners to review samples and adjust designs to fit materials and production processes.
- Help shape the unique visual language for each artist or show through design.
- Keep up with market trends and cultural shifts to ensure products are both on-trend and commercially viable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product or graphic design (preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or fan merchandise).
- Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (experience with InDesign or Procreate is a plus).
- Strong visual sense and awareness of youth trends, fandom culture, and lifestyle design.
- Ability to independently develop design work from concept to production-ready files.
- Experience working with manufacturers or print vendors is a plus.
