Merchandise Development Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Overview:

  • Forest Studio is looking for a dynamic, creative, and brand-savvy individual to take charge of merchandise product development. You will play a key role in building a branded product ecosystem for music projects, entertainment shows, artists, and fan communities under Forest Studio.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Product Ideation:

  • Research market trends and consumer behavior in lifestyle and fan merchandise.
  • Propose product concepts and ideas aligned with Forest Studio’s artists, shows, or brand identity.

Product Development & Management:

  • Collaborate with designers to develop products.
  • Source and negotiate with manufacturers/suppliers regarding pricing, quality, and timelines.
  • Oversee the production process from prototyping to final delivery.

Sales & Commercial Strategy:

  • Propose and execute merchandise sales strategies (both online and offline).
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional content for merchandise launches.
  • Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and provide regular business reports.

Operations & Inventory Management:

  • Plan production cycles based on campaign needs.
  • Manage inventory, logistics, and post-sale customer care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in product development (preferably in merchandise, fashion, branded goods, or lifestyle products).
  • Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of youth trends, fandom culture, and lifestyle behaviors.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills; self-driven and highly responsible.
  • Experience working with suppliers or vendors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools like Excel, Notion, Canva, or basic Photoshop is a bonus.
