Social Content Lead
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ROLE SUMMARY:
- The Social Content Lead is responsible for developing, managing, and executing platform-specific content strategies across TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and emerging channels to support entertainment campaigns, celebrities, and show IPs.
- They are the bridge between strategy and execution, overseeing content calendars, managing creators/editors, and ensuring every post contributes to engagement, visibility, and fandom building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly content plans for each platform, aligned with the overall marketing calendar.
- Identify emerging trends, viral formats, and timely cultural moments to drive engagement and relevance.
- Build and maintain a content calendar that maps all posts to key campaign milestones and timelines.
Creative Coordination & Execution:
- Collaborate with creative, design, editorial, and talent teams to develop and approve scripts, shot lists, and short-form video edits.
- Ensure all content is platform-optimized, using the right hooks, sound selections, hashtags, and formats for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and others.
- Maintain consistent tone, pacing, and visual identity across platforms while adapting to each platform’s unique audience behavior.
Scheduling & Publishing Oversight:
- Oversee scheduling and publishing of all content; work closely with Social Media Executives to ensure posts go live on time and in the correct format.
- Supervise final checks for each post, including formatting, copy tone, tags, hashtags, spelling, and brand voice.
Platform & Performance Optimization:
- Stay up to date with algorithm updates, platform changes, and best practices.
- Provide guidance to creative and production teams on specs, trends, and performance benchmarks.
- Deliver weekly insights on platform performance to refine content direction and maximize reach.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Act as the main liaison between creative, production, marketing comms, and data teams to ensure content execution stays on track.
- Coordinate timely handovers, feedback loops, and campaign updates across all stakeholders.
Crisis Management & Community Moderation:
- Monitor and escalate sensitive content or community reactions when needed.
- Guide the tone and actions of moderation, ensuring consistent community management aligned with brand values.
Content QA & Final Check:
- Conduct final QA checks on all assets before publishing to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.
- Enforce content SOPs including approvals, tagging standards, and version control.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor key content metrics daily: engagement rate, views, completion rate, shares, and retention.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports with insights, highlights, and performance takeaways.
Team & Workflow Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, community executive, and freelance editors.
- Manage production timelines, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain quality control across all deliverables.
- Track and enforce content workflow processes, including briefs, tagging, and approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5 years of experience in social content management or digital marketing, preferably in entertainment or media.
- Strong grasp of short-form content creation and platform trends, especially TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reels.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and content teams.
- Solid understanding of platform-specific algorithms and audience behavior.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate it into creative improvements.
